The fully-double, rose-type flowers of suffruticosa tree peony (Japan) 'King of Flowers' (Hua Wang) open to an impressive 8 to 10 inches in a saturated magenta-red hue. Hua Wang's blossoms are even more impressive as they appear later in the season than other tree peonies and are borne on a shrub of 6' to 7' feet in height! Flowers are the Hundred Proliferate form.
