Old Faithful is a double-flowered, red peony most noteworthy for its extremely large flowers mid to late-season. While the flowers open already a bright red, they become even brighter as they mature. They have a very pleasing spicy fragrance letting you know that 'Old Faithful' is present. Not to be forgotten in the perennial border! Extremely effective in mass plantings such as foundations and hedgerows. A favorite florist peony for both color and fragrance. (Glasscock/Falk, 1964).
