'ONEIDA CHIEF' Itoh Peony (Paeonia x intersectional 'oneida chief)

Even with only one blossom per stem, this dark-red, cupped and notched, single peony is making a splash! 'Oneida Chief' boasts color that remains true until petal fall.  The golden-yellow stamens on pink filaments along with pink stigma offer a curious close up. Solid green foliage on stiff 26" stems rounds out this powerhouse peony. No fragrance. Introduced in 2017, 'Oneida Chief' is making quick inroads into American peony gardens. Still rare. EXTREMELY LIMITED QUANTITY.
