'PRETORIAN GUARD' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'pretorian guard')

An early-season, semi-double, deep-red peony. 'Pretorian Guard' has upward-facing, semi-double to fully-double flowers with frilled outer guard petals surrounding a six inch pompom of red petals and yellow anthers. Each 32" stem produces a single flower. 'Pretorian Guard is a vigorous Grower with upright growth habit, healthy dark green foliage, and broad pointed leaves. Good for cut-flower production. (Scholten, 2022).
