'QUEEN ROSE' Peony (Paeonia albiflora x lobata 'queen rose')

Shades of rose-pink characterize this heirloom gem. Two or three rows of furled petals each with a single notch surround the corona of golden-yellow stamen and light-fuchsia tipped carpels. The color hue is deepest at the heart and pales toward the outer edges. Truly a stunning garden peony. Blooms early around week 5 on a medium sized and textured plant. 28" in height. Rarely found and even more rarely offered for sale. (Saunders, 1949). Heirloom.
