'ROSEWOOD PERFUME' 紫檀升烟 Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'ci chan sheng yan/rosewood perfume')

If there is one Chinese herbaceous peony that I would want beneath my bedroom window it is 'Ci Chan Sheng Yan' or 'Rosewood Perfume'. As the name suggests, the heady fragrance from this cultivar out-competes its ruffled, fully-double, magenta blossoms for best attribute. Consider this for the east side of your garden where bright morning sun will coax the perfume from the blossoms but the harsh afternoon sun will not fade the beautiful 7" flowers. Champlain Peony Company is excited to offer this unique Chinese-grown peony in limited supply.
