'SUNSHINE SENSATION' Itoh Peony (Paeonia x intersectional 'sunshine sensation')

'Sunshine Sensation' is a wonderfully unique specimen with an awe-inspiring color transformation over time. Reminiscent of huge Helleborus, the single to semi-doubled flowers have an unexpected orange appearance upon first opening and are constantly in flux during their journey through pink and salmon pastels, finally coming to rest at a delicious cream. 'Sunshine Sensation' flowers heavily on strong, rigid stems that hold the flowers upright under all conditions. As expected of an intersectional peony, the foliage is attractive, deep-green, and sturdy resulting in a good looking plant all season long. EXTREMELY RARE AND LIMITED IN QUANTITY.
