This large, bright, medium-red, single-form, cupped blossom has excellent plant habit and is a vigorous grower to about 36 inches tall. It has heavy stems and plenty of side buds making for an extended blooming period. The stamens are yellow and provide the perfect bed for the center petaloids that mimic the petal color and create whimsical relief to an otherwise formal blossom: stunning and completely unexpected. The foliage resembles that of its lobata parent. (White/Wild & Son, 1954).
