'ALBERT CROUSSE' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'albert crousse')
'ALBERT CROUSSE' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'albert crousse')
A personal favorite of CPC horticulturist Liam. Paeonia 'Albert Crousse' is a late-season peony with beautiful, fully-double flowers. This is a profuse bloomer of variable pink hues with strong stems and good foliage. This pink peony variety is mildly fragrant. Also, 'Albert Crousse' is seen as one of the best late peonies.
Comment from Liam: 'Albert Crousse' is everything a late-season peony should be; luscious, breath-taking, and classy. This heirloom is my favorite late, double-pink hands down. When 'Albert Crousse' is blooming I can sit and stare into each blossom and simply lose myself...it's mesmerizing. I tuck this peony into my gardens every chance I get. (Crousse, 1893). Heirloom.
