Peony 'Christmas Velvet' is a fully-double, true-red hybrid that flowers early in the season. This velvety-textured peony produces 5" blossoms on tall 36"-48" stems successfully in a broad range of growing zones. This makes 'Christmas Velvet' a rising star in the cut-flower peony assortments and in the cottage garden alike. It has become very popular in the Southern Hemisphere where it's natural blooming time coincides with Christmas!
