'GOING BANANAS' Itoh Peony (Paeonia x intersectional 'going bananas')

Itoh intersectional hybrid 'Going Bananas' unfurls a single, very large flower of soft-yellow petals surrounding a tuft of yellow stamens. One of the best yellow forms introduced in the intersectional category. Half-double, 7" blossoms have lemon-yellow petals with luscious rose-colored flares from the bases held aloft on 26" study stems. A slow-growing, robust plant 'Going Bananas' generates prolific numbers of blossoms with subtle fragrance. Like most Itoh peonies, bloom time is early bringing its freshness to the garden early and boldly. Plant them in the fore of the garden or completely on their own.
