'KING'S DAY' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'king's day')
'KING'S DAY' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'king's day')
'King's day' is a semi-double, salmon-orange hybrid that will flower in the early to mid-season. 'King’s day' is similar to 'Coral Sunset' but, it is more robust. The stems of 'King’s Day' are very heavy and study easily able to support the beautiful 7" pastel blossoms. The plant itself is an excellent grower and very productive. 'King’s Day' is a relatively new variety introduced in 2019 and very suitable as a cut-flower peony. Still difficult to find! Destined to become a standard in this color.
Zones 3-8

I received the plant and was very surprised that it only had two eyes. I feel as though it cost too much, because I am turning 82 years of age and might die before it grows enough to bloom. I have never received a peony with just two eyes for that purchase price.
