'TOP BRASS' Peony (Paeonia x lactiflora 'top brass')

This lightly fragrant, bomb-shaped hybrid is one of our most noteworthy for 'ooohs and aaaahs'. The blossoms of 'Top Brass, feature complex, double, white blooms with ivory-white guard petals encircling canary-yellow petals and then topped with a dense tufted center of white, light-pink and pale-yellow petaloids. Flowers appear in late mid-season and are mildly honey-scented. Attractive green foliage is divided into oval to lance-shaped segments. Excellent cut-flower.
